The Computer Information Systems programs at Central Missouri State University are
among the best in the mid-west. CIS students have won multiple national programming
competitions. The Harmon College of Business Administration at Central offers a bachelors
degree in computer information systems, an MBA with a CIS concentration and a Masters of
Science in Information Technology (MSIT). College course work can include programming in
mainframe Cobol, CICS, Visual Basic (VB), C/C++, Java and Javascript. Oracle is used in
the anaylsis and design class as well as the client server class. DB2 is used in the
database course. Other offerings include software engineering, internet development, and
networking local area networks (LAN). Located near Kansas City, Warrensburg Missouri is
central to many information systems job and internship opportunities. CIS at Central is a
great education.
